On the morning of Friday 6th May Macleans Primary had an AMAZING ‘Mother’s Day’ breakfast. It began at 8am with a delicious hot chocolate and a supreme muffin for the children. The mothers had a nutritious blueberry or apple muffin with a nice hot cup of tea or coffee. There were also chocolates available.  Whilst this was going on there were materials for making paper flowers and Mother’s Day cards. This was a special time, as the children made fantastic flowers to show their mums their appreciation for taking time off work to come to the breakfast.

As the mothers were eating their muffins, Mr Rao put on a movie that the ‘Web Reporters’ had made. The movie contained appreciation messages from children of all year groups. They gave thanks to their mum, some said, "Happy Mother’s Day!" together with their friends. Many mothers laughed loudly at the fantastic movie. All the mothers were very proud of their children for standing up and presenting their messages on the video.

When the breakfast was over the children went to say goodbye to their mums, then they went back to work. The Mother’s Day breakfast was very successful!
