China, in Room 9 PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 20 May 2011 14:07

On Friday the 20th May, Room 9 invited the Middle and Junior Syndicates to visit their classroom and view their presentation on China. There were many decorations around the classroom; to make the experience a great spectacle.
Room 9 made strings with parasols and little, shiny balls for the decorations. There were also activities for the children that came into the classroom. The activities included, 'using chopsticks', 'making lanterns' and 'making Tangrams'.

The food tasting table was very popular, which included noodles, delicious dumplings, and last of all a nutritious bread.

Last of all was the Chinese fashion show. The fashion show included Chinese outfits that were modeled by Room 9 children.  The walls were covered with facts and information taken from books and researched on the internet. This information was split into five different groups. Food, Legends, Clothing, Festivals and Dances. Below are some pictures of the classroom.
