On the Wednesday the 1st June Macleans Primary had 'Cake Day'. The 'House Captains' organised the day and got the tables ready to display the cakes. The cakes cost 50 cents each. Some children bought one to three cakes! On display there were cream, chocolates, 'hundreds & thousands' cup cakes, and also muffins & gingerbread men.

When everybody got their cakes, some gobbled them down and some ate them slowly to savour the flavour. Most of the cakes were sold very quickly but there were several left, so they were kept until the next day.
