Theme is Manaaktanga: Welcoming and extending hospitality

This week is 'Maori Language Week' and during the week Mrs Beach and Mrs Ishinabe have organised activities for Macleans Primary School. These include lunchtime activities, reading Maori signs around the school, Maori lessons for classes, a daily Maori word competition; with prizes for the winners, and finally, to finish off the week at 2pm on Friday, a performance by Macleans College Kapa Haka group, the school’s Kapa Haka groups will perform, Mihi winners will present their mihi, Junior song Ke te pehi koe and Middle and Senior song Aku Mahi.
