Why???
Because we need:
People with great ideas.
People who care about the school.
People who don’t mind mucking in and helping out.
People with enthusiasm.
What we do……
We have a meeting once a month to bring up new ideas for fundraising or to organise upcoming events.
We raise money for the school to buy things that they need in addition to what is provided. In the past we have raised money for school readers, digital cameras, sports equipment and much more. Last year we had a gala and started our “new hall” fund.
We have fun getting together and organising school discos, pool parties, raffles and heaps more.
When and where…..
Usually once a month on the first Wednesday of the month. (This will be advised in the school newsletter).
In the staffroom, go down the side of the office complex and go in the side door opposite the dental clinic.
The meeting is not very long usually going for approx. 1- 1 1/2 hours.
We are a really friendly group of people; no one is forced or expected to do anything that they wouldn't feel comfortable doing.
It is a really great way of meeting new people, especially if you are new to the school, area or even country!
It is not just for women; in fact we would love to see more men come along!
