Angeline1Hi, my name is Angeline. I am very passionate about reading and every four weeks I will try to write a book review. If there is a book you would like me to cover, then please email me on my school's This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Include the name of the book, author and publisher.

My first book I am going to review is an old favourite of mine it's called, 'Gold!' It is written by Pauline Cartwright and was set in Otago 1882. The main character is a girl called Mary Brogan. and she lives with her Mother and brother Billy. The last time Mary had seen her father was seven years ago, before they left for New Zealand. He was supoose to meet them there but for some reason never turned up.

Mary overhears her aunt talking about her father and that he may go to Otago to work in a goldmine. So, Mary decides to head for Dunstan Diggins, to find her father. But to do so she will need to disguise herself as a boy. Will she find her father?

You will have to read it to find out!
