On Thursday 23rd June Macleans Primary played St Marks Primary School. The weather was fine but the ground was damp. There were lots of children and teachers watching on the sidelines.

When Mr Rao blew the whistle to start the game, St Marks had a great start and got passed the defenders and was about to shoot, when Luke defended well and smashed the ball out of the danger area. After the throw in they took a shot from inside the area and scored a goal. St Marks had a corner kick it and hit Zion's feet and went into his own goal. This made the score 2-0 to St Marks. Macleans had lots of attempts and ten minutes later St Marks took a corner, the shot rebounded on one of the defenders and flew into the goal.

After a while their striker ran through everyone and scored a goal which made the score 3-0 to St Marks.

Mr Rao blew the whistle it was half time and the players had oranges.

After half time Macleans striker Luke ran through the defenders and smashed the ball into the goal and all the Macleans Primary supporters cheered loudly.

After lots of blocking and attempts at goal, Joseph finally smashed the ball into the back of the net, which made the score 3-2 to St Marks.

Mr Rao blew the whistle for the end of the game. The final score was 4-2 to St Marks but it was a great game and Macleans Primary fought well!
